When we remember a goal, it usually happens in a certain order.
But sometimes, we forget that we’ve accomplished it, and instead get distracted by a goal that we didn’t quite achieve, or a task that we failed to complete.
These types of forgetting are called “motivated forgetting.”
The problem is that motivated forgetting can be hard to track, so it’s helpful to have a list of your goals that you can easily track.
And that’s what we’ll be talking about today.
Before we start, you should know that motivation is a state of mind.
The idea of motivation comes from the Greek word meaning “will,” and the word means “purpose” in Greek.
A goal is something that you intend to accomplish, or at least to strive for.
This is how we can know whether a goal we’re pursuing is a goal worthy of us.
For example, a goal is important to our success as an entrepreneur, so we need to know whether our goal is worth it.
We might want to succeed at something, but we may also be frustrated with the lack of success.
Motivation is the feeling that we should pursue our goal, so the more motivated we are about it, the more likely we are to succeed.
There are many ways to measure motivation.
If you look at your life as a whole, you’ll notice that we are motivated to do something, and to achieve something.
And sometimes we just need to feel motivated to accomplish something, like when we want to learn a new skill or have a goal in mind.
It’s easy to get distracted and not pay attention to the goal, and the result can be a lot of wasted effort.
The goal that you want to accomplish is often referred to as a “goal-value” of motivation.
This value tells you how motivated you are about reaching your goal.
And the more you want your goal to be achieved, the greater your goal-value will be.
In order to be motivated, you need to have some sense of what you’re trying to achieve.
For example, you might have goals in mind for yourself that are too small or too high-effort to be attainable, but that are just achievable if you’re willing to put in the work.
In fact, a person with a goal of achieving one dollar per hour is motivated enough to accomplish this goal.
It can be tempting to try to reach a goal with all of your energy, but if you have a clear sense of the value you want and how much you want it, you can start to achieve your goals with less effort.
Motivation is also related to how much we value our time, so you should also be aware of how much time you’re spending doing things you don’t particularly care about.
For instance, if you think it’s boring to work out at the gym, you’re likely motivated by the idea that you might improve your health.
If the gym is boring, but you have the energy to work hard, you will be more motivated to reach your goal if it’s the right exercise.
Similarly, if the idea of going out to dinner with friends is exciting, but the experience itself is not worth it, it’s likely that your motivation is low because you are not excited to do it.
It will be tempting, however, to work harder and achieve your goal, but this will only bring you more frustration.
It may be tempting for you to work up a sweat at the bar or at the restaurant, but it’s unlikely that you’ll get anywhere.
If your motivation for working out is low, you may be distracted by other goals, like attending a social gathering.
If it’s too hard for you, it may even be that you’re motivated by a feeling of inadequacy.
When you want something, you want a sense of purpose.
You want something that has a positive impact on you.
This can happen when you want the same goal to have greater impact on other people, for example when you feel that you should be able to achieve a goal without having to work for it.
