A couple of months ago, I posted a list of the things I think everyone should do to make themselves happier, which included eating healthy, and making a habit of it.
And then it hit me: What if we could motivate ourselves to do something about it?
First, if you’re thinking about getting your food done, make it fun.
The first thing I do when I get up is run my finger across the kitchen to check if it’s still clean.
If it is, I grab a towel and start to brush my teeth.
I usually don’t clean my teeth, but it’s worth it to make it more fun.
Second, if your schedule calls for it, make your work enjoyable.
I always make a point of making myself available to the family.
I go to work early and go home late, and if I can’t make time for myself, I’ll find someone to take my place.
Third, if it makes you feel good to get up and go to the kitchen, make that happen.
I find that when I’m working on my cooking, I find myself enjoying the task and not being bothered by the thought of wasting time.
Fourth, don’t be afraid to get motivated by food.
There’s nothing more motivating than getting yourself in the mood for something, and the more you do that, the more motivated you’ll become.
Fifth, take some time out from your busy schedule to make your life more fulfilling.
Take a walk, go for a walk with your dog, go to a movie, go out for dinner.
Make your life a little bit more fun and meaningful, and your life will start to get a little easier.
Sixth, I’ve found that getting motivated in a positive way can make you a happier person, too.
I’ve been in this position myself, and I have found that whenever I’m feeling positive, I tend to be more creative, more creative in the way I think about my ideas, and generally, I feel more productive.
The key is to take the right kind of time to be motivated, and to make yourself happy.
I want to thank you for reading my blog, and for supporting my work.
Your support makes this possible.
Thank you for your time.
